What to Expect
Our Clinical Process

First Visit

STEP 1 | Consultation

Once you schedule an appointment, our team will send you the link to our online health history paperwork via email. On your first visit, one of our doctors will sit down with you to review your health concerns and goals, and to dive deeply into your case history. By acting as a team and actively involving you in the evaluation and educational process, we empower you to take charge of your health and maximize your success.

STEP 2 | INSiGHT Scans & X-Rays (if necessary)

After the consult, we move right into a neurological assessment. We dive deeply into the function of the central nervous system with INSiGHT Scans to detect and measure how much stress is stuck in your central nervous system. We call this stress a subluxation, which causes dysautonomia and affects the tone of the nervous system. These exams provide an objective measurement to help determine how much corrective care is needed, and allow us to measure progress throughout the duration of care to make sure we are right on track. After the nerve scans and any necessary x-rays are completed, you will schedule your first follow-up appointment.

                        Second Visit

On your second visit the doctor will provide a brief overview of his or her findings. The doctor will then provide your first, neuro-corrective adjustment to begin the healing process.

                          Third Visit

On your third visit, you will receive your report of findings. The doctors will sit down with you and review your scans and x-rays (if applicable). The doctors will explain your or your child's results, and will help you understand how they relate to any current health challenges. With your goals, history, and exam findings in mind, our doctors will review their recommended care plan individualized for you and your needs. At this appointment, you will have all of your questions and concerns answered and feel confident leaving with a clear plan of action to meet your health goals. From here, the team will schedule your future appointments and you'll receive your next neuro-corrective adjustment.

Understanding our Technology

How well is your nervous system functioning? In order to objectively evaluate nervous system performance, our office applies technology that has been certified by the Space Foundation as Certified Space Technology ™. You will have 2-3 neurological scans performed during your initial visit as well as several times throughout the course of your care. We utilize this technology to determine how well you're adapting over time so we can make any changes that your nervous system needs.

Thermography

Surface Electromyography (sEMG)

Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

HRV 2.png

HRV is how we are able to see the adaptability or balance in your nervous system and its autonomic activity (reserve level).

The closer you are to the vertical midline, the more balanced your nervous system is operating between parasympathetic (rest & digest) and sympathetic (fight/flight). The farther away from the vertical line one way or the other, the more those go from fight/flight to chronic stress, and from rest & digest to exhaustion.

You want to be closer to or in the green range. This means you have good energy reserve. The better your energy reserve, the better your nervous system can handle new stressors and recover from them.

Thermal.png

Thermal scans are how we measure or detect areas of stress on your autonomic nervous system. It measures heat on either side of your spine and can show patterns of stress accumulation.

Areas of increased heat indicate that your body is working extra hard to communicate with your brain and that your brain is not communicating efficiently with the different systems in your body.

By finding these areas, we can focus your care on removing that stress so your nervous system can reorganize and work more efficiently.

EMG.png

EMG allows us view your body’s neuro-motor tone, and how much “noise” is in your system. Excess “noise” in your system results from your brain having a difficult time relating to the world around it, or proprioceptive issues. This can show up in balance and coordination issues, and different posture and walking patterns.

EMG scans allow us to see the symmetry and pattern of this tone, as well as total energy. A high total energy is how much noise is going through your system. This interrupts your nervous system's ability to do what it needs to do, or interrupts its efficiency. Think of trying to get your car moving but you have it in park and you use up the gas before you can go anywhere. The goal is between 100-150 total energy for your nervous system to function efficiently.
